Grant Awarded: $106,000 Impact 100 SI Grant
NEW ALBANY, IN
Purpose + Vision: Home of the Innocents enriches the lives of children and families with hope, health, and happiness. We create better outcomes for those we serve through a culture of support and development for our team members. We are a trusted resource for children and families in our community. We provide person-centered, integrated services dedicated to improving lives. We embrace innovation, optimize technology, and use evidence-based treatment models to help build a better future. We inspire our stakeholders to action. We focus on meeting increased needs throughout our state by engaging partners to achieve sustainable growth.
Project Funded: Home of the Innocents is using the grant money to improve its Southern Indiana office to serve more at-risk children and families in the area. The nonprofit is training its therapists in evidence-based practices to help create more stable home lives for families, upgrading its IT infrastructure to provide efficient record keeping and service delivery, and replacing office furniture with "family and sensory-friendly furnishings."
The nonprofit hopes to make a difference in addressing issues of child abuse and trauma within the Southern Indiana community. Home of the Innocents' New Albany office offers services such as family preservation services, assistance in reunifying families, and teaching life skills to parents and families.
